Diplomats Run Centennial Table… Again

On the strength of a 122-83 win at Gettysburg, Franklin & Marshall wrapped up its third consecutive season and 22nd consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) meet without a loss. F&M (6-2, 6-0 CC) won eight of 11 races with the Bullets’ (5-4, 4-2 CC) Matt Libby and a Diplomats’ disqualification breaking up an otherwise flawless afternoon. (more)

Diplomats Dunk Devils

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimmers defeated Centennial Conference (CC) rivals, Dickinson, 124-76 Saturday afternoon. The win was the 21st consecutive CC victory for the Diplomats (5-2, 5-0 CC), while the Red Devils (4-3, 3-1 CC) suffered their first league setback of the season. (more)

Men’s Swimming Makes it 20

Franklin & Marshall’s men picked up their 20th consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) swimming dual meet victory with a 124-68 win over Ursinus Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats (4-2, 4-0 CC) have not dropped a league-dual meet since being edged at Swarthmore in November of 2006. (more)

Men Run CC Streak to 19; Break Pool Records

Franklin & Marshall’s men won their 19th consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) swim meet, knocking off McDaniel College 58-27 Friday evening. The Diplomats (3-2, 3-0 CC) set three pool records at the Green Terror’s (0-6, 0-5 CC) facility in the process. (more)

Men Finish Second at F&M Invite

Both Franklin & Marshall men’s and women’s swim teams showed solid on Sunday for the third and final session of the 14th annual F&M Invitational. The men held onto the second place position they occupied in the 10-team field entering the day, while the women managed to climb a spot for a fifth out of the 12 teams visiting Lancaster. The College of New Jersey captured the Invitational on both the men’s and women’s sides. (more)

Diplomat Men Remain Second

With two-thirds of the sessions on the books, Franklin & Marshall’s men remain in second place at the 2009 F&M Swimming Invitational, however, The College of New Jersey increased its lead during Saturday evening’s session. The Diplomats women dropped from fourth place into sixth over the course of Saturday evening. (more)

Diplomats Second Through Session One

Six meet records fell during the first ten events of the 2009 Franklin & Marshall Invitational. One record was topped by the Diplomats’ Tom Grabiak to help F&M to second place amongst the ten competing men’s teams. None of the meet records were reset by and F&M woman, but with the first of three sessions in the books, the Diplomats are in fourth place out of the dozen women’s teams competing. (more)

18 and Counting

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swim team won its 18th consecutive Centennial Conference meet with a 121-69 win over Washington College on Saturday. The Diplomats (2-0 CC, 2-2 overall) won eight of nine events to stroll to the win. The Shoremen fall to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the C.C. (more)

One of the most successful coaches in the history of Centennial Conference (CC) swimming, Rueppel has led the men's and women's swimming programs to eight CC Championships (out of a possible 16) in eight seasons. During his time at Franklin & Marshall, Rueppel has guided the swim teams to new heights. Highlights of his tenure include: Scholar All-American Honors in seven consecutive years; 45 individual athletes named to CC Academic Honor Roll; eight CC Championships; set 83 school records; set 55 CC records; 124 individual or relay CC Champions; 34 Division III All-Americans; Five CC Championship Meet Outstanding Performers; 3 National Champions.
