Diplomats Swept in Quad

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swim team was swept in a non-conference quadrangular with Washington & Lee, Carnegie Mellon, and Rochester. W&L defeated all three opponents in the meet. (more)

Diplomats Grab First Eight in CC Win Over Washinton

Franklin & Marshall’s men won the first eight races of the night en route to a 117-75 win over Washington College in Centennial Conference (CC) competition Friday evening. The win runs F&M’s in-conference winning streak to a dozen, dating back to November of 2006. (more)

Diplomat Men Pick Up First Win

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swim team picked up its first win of the season, edging past Swarthmore 108-97 on Saturday. The Diplomats (1-2, 1-0 CC) split the first four races with the Garnet (1-2, 1-1 CC) before embarking on a four-race tear that powered the win, F&M’s 11th straight in league competition dating back to a 2006 loss the last time the Diplomats swam at Swarthmore (more)

Men's Swimming Falls to TCNJ

The College of New Jersey men’s swimming team won nine out of the 11 events, including the first five of the race, to defeat Franklin & Marshall 124.5-80.5 in non-conference action on Saturday. (more)

Diplomats Suffer Setback in Season Opener

Johns Hopkins managed to take the first nine races, swimming to a 148-108 win over Franklin & Marshall in the Diplomats’ season opener on Saturday. (more)

George McGinness: Franklin & Marshall's Coach's Coach

Chances are, you don't know George McGinness. He isn't famous, yet he is a great man. George was my swimming coach at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for one season. Nearly 30 years later, I had the pleasure of seeing him honored at the College's "Celebration of Swimming Dinner" along with several hundred past and present swimmers. (more)

Campus; Athletics Department Mourns Loss of Phil Rehders '08

Phil Rehders ’08 passed away early Sunday morning. The swimming alumnus was visiting campus at the time. (more)

Grabiak, All-American

Franklin & Marshall sophomore Tom Grabiak picked up his first career All-America certificate, placing 11th in the 200-Yard Breaststroke at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. Grabiak is the Diplomats first men's swimmer to earn the title since Derek Nowak and JJ Czaplicki achieved the honor at the 2006 championships. (more)

One of the most successful coaches in the history of Centennial Conference (CC) swimming, Rueppel has led the men's and women's swimming programs to seven CC Championships (out of a possible 14) in seven seasons. During his time at Franklin & Marshall, Rueppel has guided the swim teams to new heights. Highlights of his tenure include: Scholar All-American Honors in seven consecutive years; 38 individual athletes named to CC Academic Honor Roll; seven Centennial Conference Championships; set 87 school records; set 54 Centennial Conference records; 108 individual or relay CC Champions; 30 Division III All-Americans; 3 National Champions.
