F&M Advances Two into Finals

LANCASTER, Pa. – Two members of the Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team advanced into Friday night's day one final at the 2014 Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.

F&M placed two swimmers into tonight's 50-yard freestyle as Dennis Chen finished session one in sixth place at 21.64, while John Zipp placed seventh with a time of 21.81.

The Diplomats were unable to qualify any swimmers for tonight's 200-yard individual medley final, however Richard Denton and Patrick Greaney reached the consolations. Denton finished 11th at 1:58.96, while Greaney placed 12th with a time of 2:00.16. 

F&M was also unable to qualify any swimmers for this evening's 500-yard freestyle, but Tim Landon (4:48.91), Andreas Lair Ferrari (4:50.13) and Patrick Meehan (4:50.43) placed 12th, 13th, and 14th respectively to earn spots in the consolations.

The finals will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m., where champions will be crowned in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle, and 400-yard medley relay.
