LANCASTER, Pa – Franklin & Marshall's men's swim team sits in second place after Day One of the F&M Invite Saturday. The Diplomats (426) trail Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg (531).

The Diplomats placed three swimmers in the 500 free. Tim Landon (4:48:17) placed second while teammates Conor Finnegan (4:56.51) and Jake Reingold (4:58.30) finished fifth and sixth.

Patrick Musselman, John Zipp, Zach Wilt and Tommy Bergstrom placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a 1:27.88.  Bergstrom (22.21) and Zipp (22.52) placed sixth and seventh in the 50 free.

David Fell placed third in the 200 IM with 1:59.97 and Travis Catania sixth with 2:02.64. Conor Finnegan, Travis Catania, Wilt and Bergstrom teamed to place fourth in the 400 medley relay with a 3:41.78.

Fell, Catania, Wilt and Patrick Musselman finished third in the 200 medley relay with a 1:40.24. Landon (4:21.82) and Catania (4:21.99) finished third and fourth in the 400 IM.

The Diplomats took places seven through nine with in the 100 fly with Wilt (55.10), Mason Wash (55.24) and Scott Rowand (56.68). Bergstrom (1:48.01) and Reingold (1:48.55) finished fifth and eighth in the 200 free. Fell took second in the 100 back with a 54.68 and Finnegan finished fifth a 55.14.

Musselman, Fell, Finnegan and Bergstrom teamed to give the Diplomats a fourth place in finish in the 800 medley relay.

Susquehanna (405), St. Mary's (268.5) and Washington (170.5) round out the top five teams. Swimming resumes Sunday at 10 a.m.
