Diplomats’ Men’s Swimmers Begin Title Defense

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall's men's swimming team started its title defense strong placing 11 swimmers into Friday night's finals. The Diplomats, defending back-to-back titles amongst the team's six, landed six swimmers in the eight spots for tonight's 200-yard Individual Medley final.

Tom Grabiak, Matt Jaffee, Greg MacKinnon and David Fell took the top four spots in the race with Grabiak and Jaffee each coming in under the two-minute mark. Grabiak posted a 1:55.90, while Jaffee logged a 1:57.52. Travis Catania and Scott Rownd locked up the last two spots.

Conor Finnegan and Dan Vogel will represent the Diplomats in the finals of the 500-yard freestyle while Peter Fishler, Matt Woods and David Apple will swim in the 50-yard free finals for F&M.
