Golfers in Third After Day One

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall’s men’s golf team is in third place through 18 of 36 holes at the McDaniel College Spring Invitational. Carnegie Mellon and Susquehanna are tied for the lead of the 15-team field, each with a 310. The Diplomats are four strokes behind heading into Sunday, and hold three strokes on fourth place, St. John Fisher. McDaniel rounds out the top five with a 318.
Andrew Woods, Bryan Hartog and Danny Liebowitz all find themselves
in the top 15 through one round. Woods is in a seven-way tie for
seventh place, having shot a 77 (+5) on the par 72 course at The
Bridges Golf Club. Hartog and Liebowitz are involved in a six-way
tie for 15th. Both shot 78 (+6) on Saturday.
Elmira’s Nick Decker and a pair of Susquehanna golfers,
Vincent DeMaio and Nick Decker, are tied for first place. They shot
even on the day.
Cameron Warner (t26 / 81, +9) and Steve Colalillo (t57 / 86, +14)
round out the F&M contingent. Golfing resumes at noon on
Sunday.
