Franklin & Marshalls mens crew saved their best performance for the end of the fall season at the Head of the Fish Regatta. The Mens Varsity Eight finished seventh in a 17-boat field, defeating some of New Englands top teams. The Diplomats overtook two crews in the head style race, finishing with a time of 11.23.

F&M mens varsity 8 finished 6th of 9 crews in the mens small college, eight-oared race on Saturday on the Schuylkill River.

Men's V8 Second at Lehigh
Franklin & Marshalls varsity rowers finished second in a field of five crews, 30 seconds behind Loyola (Md.) on the Lehigh River Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats beat all three of Lehighs entries. F&M bested Lehigh A by 10 second, Lehigh B by 29 seconds and Lehigh C by 48 seconds.

Six Rowers Named All-Region
Six members of Franklin & Marshall's Crews were named All-Region for the 2007-2008 season. Three men and three women attained All-Mid Atlantic Region status.

Claus Wolter was named Franklin & Marshall's first varsity crew coach in January of 2007. He brings over a quarter century's worth of experience to the Diplomats' newest varsity squad. He spent 18 seasons as the Head Coach of Rowing at Connecticut College in New London, CT where his teams won several New England Championship titles. In his last six seasons guiding the Camels, Wolter's team compiled a 58-11 record. Under his direction, the 1992 team won the Head-of-the-Charles Regatta, and the 1997 squad qualified for the NCAA Championships, taking seventh place in the Varsity Cox 4.
