The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team received their third top ten preseason ranking this week. F&M is ranked first in the Centennial Conference (CC) preseason poll. The poll is voted on by coaches and sports information directions in the conference. The Diplomats are also ranked sixth in the D3Hoops.com preseason Top 25 and ranked fourth in The Sporting News College Basketball Magazine Preseason Top 10.

Midnight Madness Set for Friday
The Diplomats are set to formally kick off the 2009-2010 season Friday night with Midnight Madness. The annual event will start at 11 p.m. in the Mayser Center, and will be the formal introduction of both the mens and womens basketball teams.

Robinson Announces New Assistants
Franklin & Marshall basketball coach, Glenn Robinson, announced his new assistant coaches for the 2009-2010 season on Tuesday. Brian J. Murphy of Clinton, N.Y., and Christopher J. McMonagle of West Conshohocken, Pa. will join the NCAA Division IIIs most victorious coach on the bench.

Six members of the class of 2013 will vie for spots on Franklin & Marshalls 2009-2010 roster. The class of 2013 includes a pair of 6 8 forwards, and two high school teammates of sophomore point guard, Georgio Milligan.

Robinson Set for Hall Induction
Franklin & Marshall mens basketball coach, Glenn Robinson, will be inducted into the Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday, June 28. Robinson will enter the Hall with a distinguished class that includes broadcasting legend, Harry Kalas, and Vince Papale, the former Philadelphia Eagle and subject of the 2006 film Invincible.

McNally Named All-Region
Franklin & Marshall sophomore, James McNally (Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater-Raritan), was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-Middle Atlantic Region Second Team.

A 1967 graduate of West Chester University, Robinson became the all-time wins leader in Division III history by recording his 667th victory on February 14, 2004 at home versus Muhlenberg College. Robinson is 10th among all active NCAA coaches in victories and has already surpassed legendary UCLA coach John Wooden (664-112) for 24th on the all-time NCAA wins list. Historically, Robinson guided the Diplomats to the Division III Final Four in 1979, 1991, 1996 and 2000 and was named the Basketball Times Division III "Coach of the Year" in 1991. He has earned conference and NABC "Coach of the Year" honors 12 times, including the 2004 award for guiding the Diplomats to a 26-4 record, the Centennial Conference title and an NCAA Elite Eight berth.
