McNally Named All-American... Again!

James McNally was named to the D3Hoops.com All-America Team, earning a spot on the third team. The team is voted on by Sports Information Directors across the country. The honor marks the 22nd time a member from F&M’s basketball team has received All-America recognition. (more)

James McNally was named to the 2010 State Farm® Coaches’ Division III All-America second team. The team in selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC. The honor marks the 22nd time a member from F&M’s basketball team has received All-America recognition. (more)

McNally Earns Two More All-Region Honors

James McNally earned two more all-region first team honors today. McNally was named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Region First Team All-Star. Hours later he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Middle Atlantic Region First Team. McNally received second team honors last year from the NABC. (more)

Diplomats Fall in Elite Eight

Randolph-Macon went on an 11-2 run five minutes into the second half and never looked back, defeating Franklin & Marshall 73-65 in the NCAA Division III Elite Eight Saturday night. The Yellow Jackets scored 33 points from behind the arc while their defense limited F&M to just three points from three-point land. (more)

Sweet Win!

James McNally scored 14 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 92-87 victory over St. Mary’s in the Sweet 16. The Diplomats will face Randolph-Macon, a 68-55 winner over DeSales, Saturday night at 7:00 p.m in the Elite Eight. This will be the ninth Elite Eight appearance for the Diplomats. Four Diplomats Named to CC Sportsmanship Team

Four Franklin & Marshall athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student from each winter program who exemplified the best in sportsmanship. Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches. (more)

Diplomats Advance to Sweet 16

In front of a traveling contingent of Franklin & Marshall faithful, a group that brought the Mayser Center atmosphere to New York, the Diplomats edged out a 73-64 victory over the U.S. Merchant Marines Saturday. (more)

The Dance Continues

Kings Point, N.Y. - Four players scored in double-figures to lead #18 Franklin & Marshall to a 91-77 victory over Oneonta in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament Friday. The Diplomats (24-4) advance to second round and will take on the winner of Wesley and the U.S. Merchant Marines at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. F&M's 91 points was the most scored on the Red Dragons (23-6) this season. (more)

A 1967 graduate of West Chester University, Robinson became the all-time wins leader in Division III history by recording his 667th victory on February 14, 2004 at home versus Muhlenberg College. Robinson is 10th among all active NCAA coaches in victories and has already surpassed legendary UCLA coach John Wooden (664-112) for 24th on the all-time NCAA wins list. Historically, Robinson guided the Diplomats to the Division III Final Four in 1979, 1991, 1996 and 2000 and was named the Basketball Times Division III "Coach of the Year" in 1991. He has earned conference and NABC "Coach of the Year" honors 12 times, including the 2004 award for guiding the Diplomats to a 26-4 record, the Centennial Conference title and an NCAA Elite Eight berth.
