Diplomats Preseason No. 6 in D3Hoops.com Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. --The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team received their second top ten preseason ranking this week. The Diplomats are ranked sixth in the D3Hoops.com preseason Top 25. F&M was recently ranked fourth in The Sporting News College Basketball Magazine Preseason Top 10.

Two-time defending national champions, Washington University, received all 25 votes for first place. John Carroll followed at number two, with Guilford, St. Thomas and Richard Stockton rounding out the top five.

This marks the second highest ranking for F&M since the D3Hoops.com poll was instituted. The Diplomats were ranked fifth in the 1999-2000 season. Despite advancing to the Final Four last season, the Diplomats finished the 2008-09 campaign ranked 11^th.

F&M advanced to the final four for the fifth time in school history. The Diplomats made their 20^th NCAA tournament berth, 12^th Sweet 16 and seventh Elite Eight appearances under Glenn Robinson.
