LANCASTER, Pa. – For Franklin & Marshall fans, the round of 16 just got sweeter. The NCAA announced the sites for the sectional rounds of the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championships. F&M will host Salem State, with UMass-Dartmouth and DeSales set to square off in Lancaster as well.

The sectional rounds will be competed on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14.

Franklin & Marshall is making its 20th NCAA Division III Championship appearance. This is the Diplomats 12th time advancing to the Sweet 16. F&M made it to the round of 16 during its last NCAA appearance in 2004. The Diplomats fell to Amherst in 82-70 in that round.

The winner of the sectional round will advance to the Final Four in Salem, Virginia. F&M is looking for their first trip back since 2000.
