Diplomats Climb to No. 13 in D3Hoops.com Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball team keeps climbing the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll, coming in at No. 13 after recording a pair of wins this week including their eighth straight on Saturday. This is the highest ranking since the 2003-04 season.

The Diplomats (21-2, 14-2 CC), ranked 16th last week, are one of eight teams in the poll with two losses or less. F&M will revisit Gettysburg tomorrow, the first Centennial Conference team to hand the Diplomats their first loss. With a win against the Bullets, F&M can secure to top seed and hosting rights for the CC tournament Feb. 28-Mar. 1.

Last week, the Diplomats defeated Ursinus 87-81 to help head coach Glenn Robinson become the first and only Division III coach to achieve 750 career wins. The win also marked the program’s 1,200th victory.

F&M travels to Gettysburg for an 8 p.m. tip-off, before heading to Carlisle, Pa. to face Dickinson on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
