All-Middle Atlantic Region Honors Announced; Robinson Coach of the Year

All-Middle Atlantic Region Team

LANCASTER, Pa. - A pair of Franklin & Marshall men's basketball players and head coach Glenn Robinson were recognized by D3hoops.com for All-Middle Atlantic Region honors.

James McNally (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater) was named to the first team and Georgio Milligan (Spring Valley, NY/Don Bosco Prep) earned Rookie of the Year. Robinson nabbed Coach of the Year accolades.

McNally, an All-Centennial Conference First-Team choice, makes his way onto the D3hoops.com All-American ballot for earning a spot on the all-region first team. The sophomore leads the team in points (16.1 ppg), field-goal percentage (.544) and rebounds (7.6 rpg). He has been consistent in the scoring category, posting double figures in 28 out of the 32 games.  In the NCAA tournament alone, McNally is averaging 15.8 points and 9.8 rebounds, while shooting 54.3 percent from the floor.

Milligan, also an All-CC First-Team selection, was honored as the top freshman in the region with the Rookie of the Year award. He leads the team with 5.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game, while averaging 13.3 points. Milligan led the Diplomats over DeSales in the NCAA quarterfinals, scoring eight of his team-high 21 points in the final five minutes of the game to hold off the Bulldogs.

Robinson is earning his first D3hoops.com Coach of the Year honor. The award was first instituted in 2005-06. He was named the Basketball Times Division III "Coach of the Year" in 1991and earned conference and NABC "Coach of the Year" honors 12 times. Robinson has brought the Diplomats to the NCAA's Division III dance 20 times. F&M has advanced to the round of 16 a dozen times and the round of eight in seven postseasons.

This season, Robinson has guided F&M to a 26-5 record this season along with the program's fifth trip to the Final Four. He reached his 750th coaching victory in an 87-81 win over Ursinus. Last season, he became only the second Division III coach to reach 1,000 games coached.
