Milligan, McNally Named to All-CC Team
Feb 24, 2009LANCASTER, Pa. – Freshman Georgio Milligan and sophomore
James McNally have been named to the men’s basketball
All-Centennial Conference (CC) First Team.
Milligan becomes the first freshman in the 16-year history of the
conference to earn first-team honors. He is averaging 13.8 points,
while ranking second in the conference in assists (5.56) and steals
(2.44) per game. Milligan hit the 20-point mark on two occasions
this season, registering a career-high 21 points in an 83-80 win
over Ursinus on Jan. 26. Milligan was also named CC Player of the
Week earlier in the season.
McNally is making his first appearance on the All-CC team. The
forward is shooting 56.3 percent from the floor to rank third in
the conference and is leading the team with 16.4 points per game.
McNally reached double figures in 21 games and recorded three
double-doubles this season. He recently scored a career-high 35
points behind 73.7 percent shooting at Dickinson on Saturday.
The Diplomats are the top seed for the CC playoffs this
weekend and will host the winner of No. 4 Haverford/No. 5
Muhlenberg on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
