Championship Series Washed Out
May 4, 2009
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The 2009 Centennial Conference Baseball Championships ended in unceremonious fashion on Monday. Heavy rain wiped out Sunday’s championship showdown between Franklin & Marshall and Johns Hopkins. Rain once again claimed the games on Monday. By Conference rules, Johns Hopkins, the highest remaining seed in the tournament, owns the Centennial Conference championship trophy and the accompanying NCAA Automatic Qualifier. The teams and coaches shook hands before departing for their respective institutions.
