Gallagher Named Scholar All-American

Franklin & Marshall College women’s golfer, Grace Gallagher, was named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Scholar All-American team when it was announced Wednesday. She is the first F&M women’s golfer to earn the honor and the only golfer from the Centennial Conference selected this season. (more)

Women’s Golf Wins Dickinson Invite

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team handily won the Dickinson College Invitational on Tuesday. F&M posted a combined 372 to finish 42 strokes ahead of the hosts, the only other scoring team in the make-up of a rained out event earlier in the month. (more)

Women Finish Third at Centennial Championships

Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team shot its second best round of the 2009 season, but was unable to move in the standings at the final round of the Centennial Conference Championships. The Diplomats finished in third place, well behind the 2009 Champions from McDaniel, and second place Gettysburg. The Diplomats finished well in front of Dickinson and Muhlenberg. (more)

Halfway Home, Diplomats Third

Halfway through the 36-hole Centennial Conference Women’s Golf Championships, Franklin & Marshall is in third place amongst the five scoring teams. Noel Stinchfield was the Diplomats top individual with a 94 on the par 72 Olde Homestead Golf Club, good enough for a ninth place tie amongst the 29 golfers. (more)

Rain Wreaks Havoc on Monday Slate

LANCASTER, Pa. – Rain in the Mid-Atlantic has wiped out Franklin & Marshall’s Monday’s entire Monday slate. (more)

Diplomats Second at Gettysburg

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golfers finished in second place at the Gettysburg Invitational. The hosts claimed the tournament featuring golfers from five teams with a 49 stroke lead. (more)

Diplomats in Second at Halfway Point

Halfway through the 36-hole Gettysburg Invitational, Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team is in second place amongst the three scoring teams in the tournament at the Bridges Golf Club. Five teams have golfers entered the event. (more)

Rain Claims Another Event

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team was slated to play in the Dickinson Invitational on Tuesday, April 14, however, unfavorable weather conditions have postponed the tournament. The event will be played on Tuesday, April 28. The teams will still tee up at noon in Carlisle on the Mayapple Golf Links. The postponement is the second in as many tournaments in which F&M was scheduled to compete. (more)

Diplomats Edge Clarion

Franklin & Marshall edged Clarion by three strokes in a storm-shortened dual meet on Sunday. Grace Gallagher shot a 47 on the front nine to deliver the Diplomats win. Storms prevented the back nine for being paid. (more)

Ryan Peffer has been a mainstay in the Lancaster golf community since 2004 when he was named the Second Assistant Golf Pro at the Lancaster Country Club, and assumed the role of assistant coach of the Franklin & Marshall women's golf team. The 2003 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Clarion quickly rose to the top Assistant Golf Pro at the club, a capacity in which he still serves. He took over as F&M's head coach in the summer of 2007.
