Consistency has been has been the hallmark of Franklin & Marshall mens basketball. Fans have come to expect winning seasons, conference championship and NCAA appearances. Despite a few rebuilding years that is exactly what the Diplomat faithful have witnessed over the years.

Diplomats Have a Hoot in Centennial Opener
Franklin & Marshalls women won eight of the 11 races swam during a 140-64 defeat of Bryn Mawr. The Diplomats draw even on the season at 1-1 and open the conference season 1-0. The Owls dropped to 0-2 (0-1 CC).

Miller Named Academic All-District
Franklin & Marshall senior offensive lineman, Clarke Miller, was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II Football Second Team when it was released on Thursday.

2009-10 Women's Basketball Season Preview
When the 2009-10 Franklin & Marshall womens basketball team takes the court, fans at the Mayser Center will see a lot of new faces. Gone is Cara Landolfi who turned in six double-doubles, and Amanda Miceli who scored in double-digits in eight games. Also gone is one of the most decorated players in F&M history, Sarah Meisenberg.

F&M (7-1, 5-1 CC) at Johns Hopkins (6-2, 5-1 CC)
Johns Hopkins and Franklin & Marshall meet for the 61st time in a series that began in Baltimore with a 10-3 F&M win in 1912. The Diplomats hold a 34-24-2 lead in the series and an 18-11-2 lead at Homewood Field. Since Centennial Conference play began in 1983, Johns Hopkins owns a 14-12 lead, but F&M has a 7-6 edge in Baltimore. Hopkins had won five straight at home over F&M leading up to the 2007 meeting the last game at Hopkins, a 19-11 F&M win.

Diplomats Fall in First Round
Two second half goals led Dickinson to a 2-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) playoffs Wednesday afternoon. The loss brings the 2009 season to an end for the Diplomats as they finish at 9-6-3. The Red Devils (13-3-2) will face Muhlenberg on Friday in the semifinals.

Diplomats Fall to Fords
Juliana Morgan-Trostles late second half goal led Haverford to a 1-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey playoffs Wednesday evening. The loss ends the 2009 season for the Diplomats, finishing at 10-8. The Fords (9-9) will face Ursinus on Saturday in the semifinals.

Twenty-Seven Diplomats Named to Academic Honor Roll
Twenty-seven Diplomats have been named to the 2009 Centennial Conference (CC) Fall Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must participate in at least 50% of his or her teams contests, be a sophomore or higher and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40.

Playoffs!
It has been a successful and productive fall season for Franklin & Marshall athletics with three teams advancing to the Centennial Conference (CC) playoffs in their respective sports. The Diplomats Field Hockey, Mens Soccer and Volleyball teams all made the CC postseason.

Willert Named Diplomat of the Week
Becky Willert scored four goals last week leading the Diplomats to a 2-0 record in the week. Willert tallied two goals in a 4-1 win over York and picked up two more, including the game winner, in a 4-2 win over Swarthmore. The win over the Garnet secured a playoff spot for the Diplomats.
Harrison and Lovett Earn POTW Honors
Franklin & Marshall quarterback, John Harrison (Flourtown, Pa./La Salle College H.S.), and cornerback, Barry Lovett (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Poly Prep), were named Centennial Conference (CC) Players of the Week. Harrison was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while Lovett was the conferences Defensive Player of the Week.
