Student Employment Opportunities
The Department of Athletics and Recreation relies on student-workers to assist in every facet of the department's operations. Students seeking employment must clear their paperwork through the Business Office on Race Avenue. The department brings on new student workers throughout the calendar year.
The following positions are currently being filled:
Athletics Communications: Photographer
The Office of Athletics Communications is looking for two (2) photographers to supply gameday coverage for GoDiplomats.com. The student photographers will supply action shots from key contests throughout the sports year. Student must have own camera, and be able to supply photographs immediately. Athletics Communications: Sports Information Assistant - Gameday Operations
The Office of Athletics Communications is seeking motivated students to assist in all aspects of gameday operations. Duties include recording statistics, operating scoreboards/gameclocks, and public address announcing. Knowledge of sports and rules is helpful, but not required. Will train. Athletics Communications: Office Assistant
The Office of Athletic Communications is seeking motivated students to assist in all aspects of its daily office work. Duties include developing gameday programs, research and data entry, and light web maintenance. Knowlegde of sports and inDesign helpful, but not necessary. Will train. Men's Lacrosse: Office Assistant
The men's lacrosse team is seeking an office assistant for the 2008-2009 academic year. Duties include data entry and light office work. Two positions are available. Please contact Todd Cavallaro at x3865.
Wrestling
The F&M Wrestling Staff is seeking volunteers for the
2008-2009 wrestling season. Below is a description of the types of
tasks you would be asked to perform. All those interested please

DiploMaters:
• You must be a student of F&M
• You should have knowledge of wrestling
(but is not necessary)
• You will be able to accumulate community
service hours
• You should be in good academic
standing
• You must attend ALL home matches
• We want volunteers who are interested in
helping
• You should have a positive attitude
• Make every effort to attend all
meetings
Duties of the F&M Wrestling DiploMaters:
• Home Matches:Keep official scorebook,
clock operator, riding time operator, injury time, videotape and
photograph (paid by college)
• Away Matches: Keep scorebook, videotape
and photograph
• Travel with team to away matches and
tournaments (optional)
• Create a scrapbook of season for the
team
• Decorate locker room for big events
– can make charts (ex: most pins, wins, etc)
• Supportive items for the team through the
season
• Help coaches as needed for special events
and other dutie
