Mickey Blymier was appointed Sports Information Director at Franklin & Marshall College during the summer of 2009. Blymier previously served as the Interim SID during the spring semester and as an intern in the Diplomats’ athletic department.

As the Interim SID, Blymier added several new features to GoDiplomats.com, and is responsible for the new graphics and video features, as well as several of the social networking features in the GoDiplomats.com family. As an intern, Blymier worked in all phases of the department from compliance and scheduling to event management. In the winter of 2008-2009, he worked extensively with the Lancaster County Visitors Bureau, to establish an inventory and fee schedule for the county’s athletic venues.

Blymier graduated from Millersville University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a focus in Graphic Design.  He returned to Millersville a semester later for graduate school, earning a Master of Education in Sport Management in 2008.

In addition to his education and experience in graphics, Blymier brings seven years of coaching experience with him. He spent the last four seasons as the assistant defensive coordinator at Donegal High School. He is a Lancaster County native currently residing in Mount Joy.
